Ask for donations to dress up. Use your fun event to raise awareness of muscle wasting and weakening conditions.
Our official #GoBright day is on Friday 1 March but you can choose another day if it suits you better.
We’re asking schools to Go Bright by wearing one bright thing. This could be as small as a sock, hairband or belt. Or you could go all out with a whole outfit and accessories! There are lots of ways to raise money on top of donations for dressing up. Older students could organise a bake sale and teachers can use our Go Bright sweepstake in the staff room.

Can provide alert cards to people living with muscle wasting conditions, so vital information about their healthcare needs is available in an medical emergency.
Can fund laboratory equipment to help researchers investigate new treatments for people with living with muscle wasting conditions.
Can provide three days helpline support from a member of our staff.
We are a charity providing support and research for 60 muscle wasting conditions. Through a strong community, we work to improve the lives of those affected.
A bake sale with a theme! A tried and tested fundraiser. Who doesn’t love the chance for a slice of cake and a cup of tea?
You can ask your friends, family and local businesses for prizes. We can provide you with a letter of authority to do this, you’ll be surprised what you can get donated. Make sure you check out the Gambling Commission’s rules around raffles.
Use the games in your Go Bright pack, which we will send to you, or plan one for an upcoming sporting event or reality TV show.
Use our Who’s the Brightest Spark Quiz. Get a group together in person or virtually. Ask people to pay an entrance fee. If you get a prize donated, all the takings can go towards your total.
