Cambridge Town and Gown - Event Volunteer

Each year, thousands of runners take part in our Town and Gown 10k runs in Oxford and Cambridge. The series is a huge fundraising event for Muscular Dystrophy UK, raising over £2 million so far to fight against muscle-wasting conditions. We simply couldn’t put on the event without the support of volunteers.

Our 2021 Cambridge Town and Gown will take place on Saturday 16 October.

Volunteer roles range from helping to man the baggage tent, to giving out water along the route, to being at the finish area to reward runners with their medals. You can let us know your preferences when you apply to volunteer, and find out more about the specific roles in the Role Description.

Whichever role you play, you'll be supporting MDUK to organise a fun and exciting fundraising event, generating vital funds to support people living with muscle-wasting conditions.

You don't need any specific skills and experience to get involved - your enthusiasm is all we need! And for you to be available in the morning and early afternoon of Saturday 16 October 2021.

You'll be supported throughout your volunteering by our fantastic Events team with comprehensive briefings ahead of the day and staff on hand to support throughout the event. We provide refreshments for all of our volunteers, and a t-shirt for you to wear.

It's a great opportunity to be a part of an exciting fundraising event, meet new people, and soak up the atmosphere! We always welcome teams of volunteers, so feel free to get your friends or colleagues involved too.

Please visit the Town and Gown website to find out more and to apply to volunteer.
