The West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds holds neuromuscular clinics for both adults and children. The Neurology Department at the West Suffolk Hospital provides a comprehensive service for people with neuromuscular disorders. This involves the diagnosis and treatment of a large number of conditions affecting the brain and nerves. The Hospital manages such diverse conditions as headache, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis, to name but a few.

The neurology service has expanded rapidly over the last few years to meet the increasing needs of people with neurological problems.

How to access the service

To access the service a person must be referred by either a GP or consultant, an administration letter will then be sent which lets you know the date and the time you should come to the hospital for your treatment. It will tell you which ward you will be on, and the consultant who is responsible for your care.
