MDUK Muscles Matter 2021 – Tuesday 10 August round-up

Our MDUK Muscles Matter 2021 online seminar series continued on Tuesday 10 August with a seminar on going to university.

We were joined by care advisor Jane O’Connor and recent graduates Freya Masters and Hayleigh Barclay. The panel discussed issues such as accessibility, the importance of care packages, and how building relationships can help you get the most out of your University experience.

Hayleigh and Freya also shared about the importance of being proactive in getting the right support in advance. Many Universities will also have a Disabled Students' Officer and disability services that can provide relevant information and support. The panel also discussed how you can get access to additional support such as funding, PAs and a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
